In today's culture, the concept and act of a real money poker app are usually looked down upon as being something that destroys people's lives, and lots of Christians or other Bible believers claim that it's a Sin. They claim that each sort of poker is sinful and you'll not be a Christian if you're a gambler. Unfortunately, the Bible doesn't directly address the difficulty of poker and thus it's left up to interpretation on whether or not gambling is wrong within the eyes of God.

For starters, it ignores the very fact that you simply are risking a number of your own money so as to win something instead of just flat-out "coveting" money.

For example, if we are to require this argument of coveting and apply it to other areas of life, then Christians shouldn't be allowed to take a position in things like the stock exchange. After all, the sole reason someone invests in something is in hopes of gaining extra money reciprocally. is that this considered "coveting?" What if a few Christians wanted to start their own business? an individual only starts a business with the intention of creating money off of their customers. Are Christians sinning once they do these things?

In summary, while there are certainly bad and sinful ways of poker there also are perfectly harmless ways. It all depends on how you treat yourself when it comes to poker. even as with anything when taken too far it can become extremely sinful. But to mark all poker as sin is to become very inconsistent in your view of the planet as we've briefly demonstrated.
